Why the first session should be at your house.
The dog acts differently at home than at a training facility. Environmental, household, and management factors drive most behavior cases, and you can't audit them from a video call.
Specific uses of dogs
New rescue intake
Adopters in first 30 days
Set up the home, crate, routine, and management plan before bad habits start.
Multi dog household audit
Families with 2+ dogs
Resource map of the home, conflict triggers, and a per dog management plan.
Reactive dog environmental assessment
Urban / apartment dogs
Window film, baby gates, walking route planning, the management piece most trainers skip.
Handler how tos
Prep your home for the consult
- 1Write down the three behaviors that matter most. Be specific: 'lunges at men in hats on Tuesday walks', not 'reactive'.
- 2Video the problem behaviors in advance. You won't be able to reproduce them on demand.
- 3Gather every piece of equipment you've tried, collars, harnesses, leashes, head halters. We'll evaluate them.
- 4Don't pre clean or pre stage the house. We need to see how the dog actually lives.
- 5Have every adult in the household present. Inconsistent rules cause 80% of behavior issues.

Agency & handler FAQ
Common questions from pros.
What does the 90 minute consult actually cover?+
Environmental audit, household interview, dog assessment, written action plan, and equipment review. You leave with a multi page plan, not just verbal advice.
Is this a sales pitch for board & train?+
No. About a third of our consults result in DIY plans the owner runs themselves. We tell you what your dog actually needs, sometimes that's a $200 training book, not a $6k program.
Do you travel outside Los Angeles?+
Yes, Ventura, Orange County, and Inland Empire with a travel fee. We've also flown to client homes nationally for executive and high net worth placements.
What if I need ongoing help after the consult?+
Every consult includes a 30 day email follow up. From there, you can roll into private sessions or a B&T program. Consult fee credits toward any program within 60 days.
Who comes to the consult?+
A head trainer, never an apprentice. The first session sets the tone for the entire case.
