Compliant with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), CalOPPA, and the California "Shine the Light" Law. By using our site or submitting any form, you consent to the practices described below and to our Terms of Use.

Delta K9 Academy LLC ("Delta K9 Academy," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you visit our website, submit any form, contact us, or purchase our services. It is designed to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), the California Online Privacy Protection Act ("CalOPPA"), the California "Shine the Light" Law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83), the federal CAN SPAM Act, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA"). It is incorporated into our Terms of Use.

We collect the following categories of personal information (as defined by Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.140):

  • Identifiers, name, postal address, email, phone number, IP address.
  • Customer records, billing address, payment information (processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Commercial information, products and services purchased, quiz answers, booking history.
  • Internet activity, pages viewed, referring URL, device and browser type, cookie identifiers.
  • Geolocation, approximate location derived from IP.
  • Inferences, preferences and interests derived from the above to personalize our communications.
  • Information about your dog and household that you voluntarily provide.

3. Information you submit through forms

When you voluntarily submit a form, quiz, booking, chat, or message on our site, you expressly consent to Delta K9 Academy retaining and using the information you provide to contact you, by phone, SMS, email, or mail, to respond to your inquiry, fulfill your request, schedule services, and send you related marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing at any time (see Section 8). Providing your phone number constitutes your prior express written consent under the TCPA to receive autodialed or pre recorded calls and texts from us at that number for transactional and marketing purposes; consent is not a condition of purchase.

4. How we use information

  • Provide, schedule, and deliver our services and orders.
  • Process payments and manage financing applications with third party lenders.
  • Contact you about your inquiry, appointments, dog, or order.
  • Send transactional notices and, with your consent, marketing communications.
  • Improve the website, services, and customer experience.
  • Detect fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We disclose information to:
  • Service providers bound by contract, payment processors, email/SMS platforms, hosting, analytics, scheduling, financing partners.
  • Professional advisors, accountants, lawyers, insurers.
  • Authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

6. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, business purposes, and recipients.
  • Delete personal information we have collected, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share, but you may submit a request).
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not use it for purposes that trigger this right).
  • Non discrimination for exercising your rights.
  • Shine the Light, request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Typical retention periods range from 2 to 7 years after our last interaction with you.

8. Opt out & Do Not Track

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, reply STOP to opt out of SMS, or email contact@deltak9academy.com to opt out of other channels. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from your browser as an opt out request under the CCPA. Our Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track ("DNT") browser signals because no common standard has been adopted.

9. Cookies & analytics

We use first party and third party cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, measure engagement, and improve our marketing. You can disable cookies through your browser; some features may not work without them.

10. Data security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a breach affecting California residents, we will notify you as required by Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.82.

11. Children

Our Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third party links

Our Site may link to third party websites, including payment processors, financing partners, and social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
